Los Angeles Guitarist Nick Kellie has been playing the guitar and composing professionally for many years. He has toured the world countless times with artists such as #1 hit makers "The Three Degrees" and grammy winner Frank Gambale. He resides in Los Angeles, CA where he also teaches and holds masterclasses at the world famous "Musicians Institute" in Hollywood, CA. Nick endorses Morley pedals and Elixir strings.

OCTOBER 15th, 2022

I am delighted that I have been asked to play with Randal Clark's band with Randal, Jeff Lorber, Jimmy Haslip and Gary Novak at the Catalina Island Jazz Festival (JazzTrax) on october 15h at 12pm. This is a huge privilege for me and I am very humbled and grateful to be asked!


I played on Randal Clark's latest album, "Stargazer" which is currently enjoying airplay on radio stations across the globe. I had the privilege to play alongside some of the following legendary musicians; Jimmy Haslip, Randal Clark, Jeff Lorber, Randy Brecker, Gary Novak, Vinnie Colaiuta, Paul, Jackson Jr., Michael Thompson, Nick Kellie, Scott Kinsey, Jimmy Branly, Steve Kahn, George Whitty, Alan Pasqua and many more...


Here are the two songs I performed on for your enjoyment!

The first track is called "Missing You" and the second is called "Stargazer" and is the main single release from the album.

Guitarist and Composer

Nick plays 2nd guitar and backing vocals in Frank Gambale Soulmine featuring Boca. Frank Gambale is a world renowned grammy winning guitarist from the Chick Corea Elektric band.
Nick has toured the world as the guitarist with The Three Degrees (#1 smash hit “When will I see you again”). They have played many great venues around the world including the London O2 arena and “Iridium Jazz Club” on broadway, NYC where Nick has also appeared with his own band.  He plays regularly at the baked potato with acts such as Brian Auger’s Oblivion express (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and more).

Nick’s debut record, “For A Brother” came out on Steve Vai’s Digital Nations record label to much acclaim. Upon hearing the album, Steve contacted Nick personally with regard to a release on his own label. It has been released in the USA, Europe and Asia.
In 2005, Nick was awarded the BBC Big Band Jazz awards “John Dankworth trophy for outstanding young soloist” and recorded a special show for BBC radio 2.
Nick is also a contributor to the worlds biggest selling guitar magazine “Guitar player magazine” and holds classes at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood California.  His book, Progressive Blues guitar is released by Hal Leonard Publishing/ Musicians Institute Press and is available worldwide.
